Our current events have caused many of the members of our community, female and male, a good deal of stress, discomfort, and feelings of hopelessness. Sometimes when it feels like we are powerless and have no actions to take, it’s the best time to band together and find more strength and inspiration in our communities. Here at The Happie House, we want to foster a safe environment to discuss our feelings and frustrations and find positive strategies to help us cope with the inescapable news cycle and climate. Please join us Saturday 10/13 at 5pm for a free guided meditation followed by a sharing circle. We will open with a Tong Len mediation for empathy and compassion and then transition into a group discussion moderated by Mental Health Counselor, Sabeen Sheikh. There is no cost to attend this event, although we will be collecting donations for The New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault.
