It isn’t always easy to get to a 75 minute long yoga class, or even to roll out your mat at home. I always encourage making the time, because no matter what else is going on in your life, maintaining your practice will be of benefit to you and the people close to you. It’s your time, to check in with yourself and to ease out the kinks in your body and mind — and protecting that time will make you calmer, steadier, and more patient with everyone around you.

Yoga hurts sometimes — but I don’t mean physically. Everyone goes through moments in time when they don’t want to go to a yoga class or practise at all, for all kinds of reasons; from being too busy and tired to being disillusioned with their practice, or any number of things in between. Including when yoga does hurt physically; and if you are injured, I strongly recommend rest, doctors, and/or guidance from an experienced teacher.

As a single mom, finding time to workout can be difficult.  Being a personal trainer does not always mean you will have time to complete your own workouts.
